Alexandra Loveday Lamarre grew up in Weston, Connecticut, with her mother and 3 siblings. Among other things her mother was a horticulturist which peeked Alexandra’s interest in plants and gardens. At the age of 18, Alexandra went to England to live with family and to be an au pair in France. While in England she learned about and fell in love with gardens and gardening, particularly English gardens. After returning home, among other jobs, she worked with a photographer in NYC, all the while developing a keen interest in garden and interior design. Alexandra’s Gardens became a business in the year 2000. During the winter months, Alexandra is a practicing Postpartum doula.
